The Collegiate Culinarian

My name is Lauren. I'm a Junior in college. I love food and love cooking. My goal this year is to improve my cooking skills, try new things, and most important, learn new recipes.

  • White Chocolate Peppermint Almond Bark

In addition to all my other holiday treats, I decided to make some chocolate bark. I like peppermint in small doses so I figured it would be perfect in chocolate bark. White chocolate is pretty and thats why I used it. I also add pretzels and almonds for a little crunch. This is such an easy recipe, if you even want to call it that. If you can melt chocolate, then you can do this.

    White Chocolate Peppermint-Almond-Pretzel Bark

    Ingredients:

    1/2 cup chopped almonds

    1/4 cup crushed candy canes

    1/2 cup crushed pretzels

    8 oz white chocolate

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler. Throw in the almonds, candy canes, and pretzels. Spread it out on a silicone sheet or on wax paper. Let it harden then break it up and store in an airtight container.

Melt the chocolate in a double boiler.

Throw in the candy canes, almonds and pretzels.

    Stir is up.

Spread it out on a silicone baking sheet.

    Simple. and Delicious.
